there is a pretty nice little muni type course called Angel
Park...not too expensive. They have a par 3 also. If you just want to hit the ball around, head down the airport side of the strip (North???), past the Luxor a few miles, there is a Callaway Golf Center which also has a par three course and driving range.......
Thanks, all. I actually will be there for super bowl weekend, so I'm hoping there will be courses dying to get ANYONE out there. I usually do that here in town and I usually have the course to myself.
I'm more of an NBA guy anyway.
I'll have to check out one of those clearance services.
I also may have a connection to a private course in Henderson.
Going to Vegas, anyone have any suggestions for coures to play?
Taking the wife and driving down to Vegas next week, can anyone suggest a course to play for less than $200, the prices to play this time of year are out of control, I'm used to the green fees around here (Monterey Bay area) but I can always find deals here. Let me know what courses you have played and what the experince was like and if you would play again. It seems like there is no shortage of courses. Has anyone played Wildhorse, they rated it as the toughest in Vegas
I played Angel Park ($120ish) a year or two ago.Fun course to play, across the street is the TPC course. Try greenskeeper.org, they advertise specials for the Vegas area.
My wife and I enjoy playing Mountain Falls and Willow Creek in Pahrump Valley (about one hour from Vegas). Thet greens fees with cart run about $50. Check them out at Pahrump Golf Courses on your brower.

Thanks for the info all! I may have to take a drive to Pahrump, sounds like those courses are more in my budget. I wish I could play Reflection Bay
If, like me you hit Vegas more then a few times a year, you might think about a players card from ob sports. They manage Angel park, Aliante and The Legacy, as well the card is good at many other courses across the country. I paid $99 for my card and played Aliante and Angel Park over New Year weekend for $35 each at noon. The rack rate at that time was $75. Morning would have been $55 and the rack rate was $125.
Hey everyone, I'm off to Vegas early Feb for a conference and am looking for recommendations on places to play in the area.
I'll be staying near the convention center, which I guess from the map is northern strip area. I've never been, so I don't know how central that is.
Although I'd love the opportunity to play Shadow Creek, that's a little out of my price range.
I probably will get 2 chances to play, 3 tops. Any recommendations are greatly appreciated. I don't mind paying over $100, but it better be worth it!
When I was stationed in No. Cal., my dad was doing a lot of business in Vegas and he took me over there for a weekend. We played at Angel Park. There are two courses, the Palm course (Arnold Palmer & Bob Seay) and the Mountain course. Both were exceptionally nice. You can book tee times on their site. I was just looking and if you are out there on the 9th of Feb and can play after 12 noon, the rate on the Palm Course drops from $130 to $70 . Great deal if you can schedule it then.
Do yourself a big favor and drive 45 minutes north to Mesquite....play Wolf Creek for under $100 twilight rate. Try to get right at 2pm (twilight start) and you should finish 18 before canyons get too dark. You'll never forget it. Check out their website to get an idea of the scene.
