Good courses in Pacific Northwest

So in the summer, my golf team and I well 3 of them, want go around and play real nice courses in Washington, Idaho or Oregon. I live in Seattle, but we want to just play a couple nice courses. We are in High School, but i'm graduating in 2 weeks, so we are not rich. If you guys have played some nice courses close to washington or in Wa, and prices, that would be helpful.

Thanks!

Re: Good courses in Pacific Northwest

Echo Falls in Snohomish.
Harbour Pointe in Mukilteo
Apple Tree in Yakima
Moses Pointe in Moses Lake
Avalon Links (north and west courses) in Burlington
Alta Lake in Pateros
Ocean Shores GC in Ocean Shores
Washington National in Auburn (home course of UW)
The Tri-Cities has some great courses as well, just spacin the names.

Most of those courses have websites if you "google" it you can't look up rates.

If you know anyone with connections to country clubs then try:
Mill Creek G&CC in Mill Creek
Skagit G&CC in Burlington

Then, everyone who lives and golfs in washington's dream course they want to play:
Sahalee CC in Redmond

A great website:

Camas Meadows in Vancouver, WA- If I recall, maybe $60 on a weekday.
Eastmoreland, Portland, OR- Nice, tight muni course. Well-maintained and relatively cheap.
Stone Creek, Oregon City, OR- Relatively new course. One of my favs in the area. Very reasonably priced.

Tri-Cities, WA

Canyon Lakes (Kennewick)
Columbia Point (Richland)
Sun Willows (Pasco)

Do a quick google search and you'll find all of these.

I completely forgot about Horn Rapids. I never play out there and forget about it most of the time, unless I come across one of the subdivisions out there while I'm at work. Do you live in the Tri-Cities, or just played here before?

Neither...I live on the Westside...but the wife played (and won) a tourney there a few months ago...she says if you can't play target golf...your in DEEEEEP trouble cause if you screw up, your bittin in the bullet. There is no room for error she said. I'm trying to find her score now but am failing.

She fired an 83 at Canyon Lake and a 77 at Horn Rapids for a 160 for the tournament she played in. She actually tied for first.

Congrats to her! I normally play Canyon Lakes and Columbia Point. Canyon Lakes is only a mile from my house and I started going to Columbia Point because my grandpa got a membership there and I've gone a few times with him. I happened to get my personal best over at the Point!

Re: Good courses in Pacific Northwest

I'm not sure why I've never made it out there to play, from what I've heard it's not a bad course by any means. Probably just the location thing, not that close to me. If you end up heading over to the Tri-Cities shoot me a PM sometime.

Agreed, also check out their all you can play pkg.
Last year was $80 all you could play including golf cart and a very nice lunch ( of regular manu, not just burgers and hotdogs ).
Other places, if you purchase an OKI card ( from Costco, near Summer season ), you could enjoy all their courses at a discount rate, I like the Hawks Paraire ( old Vicwoods and Marriwoods ). I believe they had added the Harbor Point to their fleet last year.
New courses that's very affordable is The Home Course in Dupont, super nice with the green fee rate, since it's a bit out of the way, you could replay it for half the price or go Fort Lewis next door to play 27 in the afternoon.

Seattle Premier Golf has a great program for their golf courses in the metro area, I like the West Seattle a bunch.
My advise to you is to check out all the early bird rate on the golf courses around, some of them have half price replay if you're up to it.

If you ever have the budget, don't forget Chambers Bay the site of the 2015 U.S. Open, and across the Sound from Edmonds in Kindston, is the White Horse, half price second round also, but you really need to ride a cart for either the 2nd or both rounds.

So many great golf to be had around here great courses in the North and East of the State also, I don't think you'll ever need to leave the Washington State for this Summer.
PM me if you have question regarding any of the golf courses in the Washington, either I had played it or one of my buddies played it before.
