I am going to be going to Las Vegas in the coming months and would like to know if there are any quality courses in the area. Thanks for any and all input.
Thanks ENYO. But I am looking for people that actually played the courses in Las Vegas. You get a better sense of what is worth its dollar. Just becase it costs $150 to play some courses, doesn't mean it is a good course or worth the money.
Definitely play the Rio Secco. I played it a couple of years ago and even though it is a little pricey, I would have payed it and played it again. It is where the Butch Harmon school is. A couple of cheaper one, if you consider around $70+ or so cheap is Angel Lake courses, there are two there, and I am drawing a blank on the name. Primm Valley about 40 miles outside of the city is also kick ***(edited myself, but would have almost tried to slip it by on the count of the course is kick a**(( )) ).

It has been a few years since I lived there, but Primm Valley on the CA. border was one of my favorites. Paiute courses 15 miles NW of Vegas on 10 are also solid. The Angel Park, Badlands, LV CC, and Desert Pines courses charge a lot for little value, just my opinion.

I played Legacy Golf Links. It was $80 about seven years ago and it's south of town (Henderson??). I think that I played Angel Park as well and it was very windy. On the cheaper side, my father in law plays Craig Ranch quite a bit when he's out there. Never played it myself though.
I played Stallion and Paiute (Snow River Course). I loved Paiute, Pete Dye Design. One of those courses cut into the desert. Gorgeous. We were there around the sumemr and it was $78. Stallion was also nic but it was designed around a resort so you see condo's and etc. For solitude I would go to Paiute.
Nine,
I would strongly recommend the Paiute courses, especially if you have a rental car. They are well worth the drive. When I played there, about four years ago, there were two courses. I believe there is a third now.
Also, TPC Canyons is fantastic, and some of the views at the Revere at Anthem are breathtaking.
With all of these courses, it's important to play the proper set of tees (most offer 5 options) so you fully enjoy the experience.
